My Meaning / Understanding

Be The Change You Widh To Be
reference to Gandhi quote "be the change you wish to see in the world"

i relate to this because i like to help things on the road to change.
and i will always be positive about the changes i want to make

"we slave on just to get by"
i think that this is alot of people now they just try and get around of the work or not do it at all
im one of them not going to lie :]

"all i wish for is eternal tranquility"
i like the idea of peace but i dont think that the people of the world are capable

pt.2

Connect to the poem

I connect to the poem mostly from the title. "Be the change you wish to see"
I want to see change, so im going to have to be the start to the change i want to get.
also the "we slave on just to get by" This ties into the first part beacuse if i want change
I'll have to work for it. And that means to stop being lazy -_-.

Song that relates
NOW by; Paramore
This song says that if there is a future for everyone to come together we want it now.
and also that we need to."Wish I could find a crystal ball,For the days I feel completely worthless"
this can connect to the part with the "we slave on" because maybe you feel worthless sometimes but you have to find a way around or to deal with that feeling. And the Beginning she says "There's a time and a place to die and this ain't it" which could connect to the last line of the poem, or it can be put with the "restless yawns and sighs of the pawns who are first to die".
plus the whole video of the Army Vs. the Rebels can be this"big brother"(gov't) vs. you.

movie persona

maximus in the movie to the people of rome was a public gladiator and a crowd  pleaser.
but before he was a general. But he was a farmer and a father mostly.
he was publicly a expendable gladiator that the people just started to love and enjoyed watching his kill other people. but before he was a general that was almost worshipped by the people under him. so much so was named the new Caesar . he was also a family man that loved his family and was crushed when they died and showed that.

my celebrity is Corey Taylor. singer of bands such as Slipknot and Stone Sour.
his outward persona is a loud mouth angry metalhead and people see that as Destructive
and harsh. and the lyrics of the songs he writes are that way yes, but Stone Sour's lyrics are the more
easy going slow music. but personally  he's...still loud but he's really a nice easy going kinda guy
and has 2 kids.

My public persona is probably a outgoing mohawked rebellious teen. this is mostly true. i maybe loud in public and yes i do have a mohawk and i like the comments i get for it be it positive or negative.
i like the feedback :D.i also feed of the positivity of others and it makes my day just that little bit better. but once you get to know me im'ma pre sentimental kinda guy. i also love just sitting in my room and listening to music that can be like the best times ever.

Professional Grievers ft. Jerard Way) By. Deadmau5
Lyrics:
I like the sound of the broken pieces
I like the lights that assign where she sits
We got machines but the kids got Jesus
We like to move like we both don't need this

God can't hear you, they will fight you
Watch them build a friend just like you
Morning Sickness, XYZ
Teenage Girls with ESP

Gimme the sound to see
Another world outside that's full of
All the broken things that I made

Just give me a life to plea
Another world outside that's full of
All the awful things that I made

We like to dance but the dead go faster
Turn up the slam and a barcode blaster
We want the cash or the drugs you're after
Rise up control for the mixtape master

Self-correction, mass dissection
Death squad brats are in detention
Morning sickness, XYZ
Boys with bombs in NMA

Compliancy, special castings
Photographs that I'm erasing
Phono slots with pixel screens
Girls with guns on LSD

Self-infraction, mass destruction
Programmed for the final function
Lab Rat King, rescue team
Save me from the next life

Gimme the sound, to see
Another world outside that's full of
All the broken things that I made

Just give me a life to plea
Another world outside that's full of
All the awful things that I made

'Cause we are the last disease
Another broken life that's full of
All the awful things that I made

And we got the eyes to see
Another broken life that's full
of All the awful things that I made.

i relate to this song by the self judging and outward fights with the world( dramatic ik :D)
and i think that the world will always fight because they secretly love the happiness they get from winning and whom doesn't.

Otherside (Ft.Fences)
By: Macklemore

He rolled up, asked him what he was sippin' on
He said lean, You want to hit it, dawg?
That's the same stuff
Weezy's sippin' huh?
And tons of other rappers that be spittin' hard
Yup yup five a bone
When he passed him that styrofoam the easter pink, heard it in a rhyme before
Finally got to see what all the hype was on
And then he took a sip, sittin' in the Lincoln thinkin' he was pimpin' as he listen to the system
Little did he know that it was just as addictive as base
Not the kind of hit from the kick drum
Hot box, let the base bump
Take it to the face, gulp
Months later the use went up
Every blunt was accompanied by the pink stuff
But Goddamn he loved that feelin'
Purple rain coated in the throat
Just so healin'
Medicine alleviate the sickness
Liquid affix and it comes with a cost
Wake up, cold sweat, scratchin', itchin'
Trying to escape the skin that barely fit him
Gone, get another bottle just to get a couple swallows
Headed towards the bottom couldn't get off it
Didn't even think he had a problem
Though he couldn't sleep without gettin' nauseous
Room spinnin', thinkin' he might of sipped just a little bit too much of that cough syrup
His eyelids closed shut
Sat back in the chair clutchin' that cup
Girlfriend came and a couple hours later said his name shook him but he never got up

He never got up, he never got up
We live on the cusp of death thinkin' that it won't be us
It won't be us, it won't be us, it won't be us
Nah, it won't be us

Now he just wanted to act like them
He just wanted to rap like him
Us as rappers underestimate the power and the effects that we have on these kids
Blunt passed, ash in a tin, pack being pushed, harassed by the feds
The fact of it is most people that rap like this talkin' about some shit they haven't lived
Surprise, you know the drill
Trapped in a box, declined record sales
Follow the formula violence, drugs, and, sex sells
So we try to sound like someone else
This is not Californication
There's no way to glorify this pavement
Syrup, Percocet, and an eighth a day will leave you broke, depressed, and emotionally vacant
Despite how Lil Wayne lives
It's not conducive to being creative
And I know 'cause he's my favorite
And I know 'cause I was off that same mix
Rationalize the shit that I'd try after I listen to dedication
But he's an alien, I'd sip that shit, pass out or play Playstation
Months later I'm in the same place
No music made, feeling like a failure
And trust me it's not dope to be 25 and move back to your parent's basement
I've seen my people's dreams die
I've seen what they can be denied
And "weeds not a drug" - that's denial
Groundhog Day life repeat each time
I've seen Oxycontin take three lives
I grew up with them, we used to chief dimes
I've seen cocaine bring out the demons inside
Cheatin' and lyin'
Friendship cease, no peace in the mind
Stealin' and takin' anything to fix the pieces inside
Broken, hopeless, headed nowhere
Only motivation for what the dealer's supplying
That rush, that drug, that dope
Those pills, that crumb, that roach
Thinkin' I would never do that, not that drug
And growing up nobody ever does
Until your stuck, lookin' in the mirror like I can't believe what I've become
Swore I was goin' to be someone
And growing up everyone always does
We sell our dreams and our potential
To escape through that buzz
Just keep me up, keep me up
Hollywood here we come

In this song particularly in the last verse it speaks to me because i know people that have been though drug addictions and also know people who have over dosed because of them. And i also think that drugs and people that do them need to stop, they dont make you famous they make you weak and can and will destroy your life.

IN TEN YEARS

Alex Trimpl

Where will i will be in 10 years.

In 10 years i will hopefully be a  pediatric doctor and will be living in London England,
my life will be a normal one. waking up getting ready and leaving, get a coffee head to work.
I will be riding a Vespa just to be the man :D. And in my spare time ill do what i do now. Ill go
out with friends about the town on weekends. and on weekdays just chill write some comic books
listen to music in the spare time i have, Which is not much due to being a doctor.

Between now and then.
Ill have to pick up my work ethic a little bit. ill have to goto post secondary for like 5-10 years
(long time :c) but ill have to take bio, cem and some other science classes. ill hopefully meet my goals
of being a doctor by then!!!
